Coaches

Our coaches play a vital role in shaping not only player development, but the culture of our club; on and off the court.

OUR COACHES

Coaching at Mooloolaba Reds

We pride ourselves on creating a positive, respectful and supportive environment for players, officials, families and the wider netball community. As a coach, you are a leader and role model, and we ask for your support in reinforcing these values throughout the season.

STANDARDS

Our coaching expectations

Coaches are asked to actively promote and model respectful behaviour by reminding players, parents and supporters of the following expectations:

  • Positive encouragement only from the sidelines

  • No negative or abusive comments toward umpires, players, coaches or opposition

  • Respect for officials at all times

  • Concerns to be raised respectfully and through appropriate club channels

  • Only team captains may approach umpires (coaches may guide captains, but captains must initiate)

  • Only players and umpires are permitted inside the court enclosure

  • Only Coaches, Managers and team players are permitted within the coaches’ box

These guidelines help ensure a safe, enjoyable and fair environment for everyone involved.

RESOURCES

Coaches handbooks

All coaches are encouraged to review SCNAs Divisional Coaches Handbook and the NetSetGo Guidelines Handbook which includes the Sunshine Coast Netball Association (SCNA) Code of Conduct and competition expectations.

The handbook can be shared with team managers to ensure a consistent understanding across the team community.

DEVELOPMENT

Coaching Development Opportunities

Dates and times are still being confirmed; however we would love to invite you to our first coaches' development session for 2026. A great chance to connect with other coaches, ask questions and be prepared for the season ahead.

We encourage ALL coaches to reach out if and when they need across the season to gain assistance with any area of coaching as we have a vast range of skill across our club.
